“Just at Avatar Recording Studio with my band, The Young Presidents, so I have to thank you again for the monstrous 5-string Precision Bass with Sadowsky Pre-Amp you made for me! The comments were great – the guys said it sent the music over the top and the manager said the sound was so loud and amazing, the studio next door actually complained (and the sound proofing is definitely substantial at Avatar!) The workmanship is fantastic, the sound perfect, I can’t compliment you enough. This is the second instrument I’ve bought from you – the first was a crystalized Strat guitar – and I’m happy to buy many more in the years to come.” Mitchell

Mitch Kaneff and Jake Hertzog, core members of The Young Presidents, are creating an electrifying vision of music by collaborating with some of the world’s most talented entertainers.

The Young Presidents is a rock band from New York that blends classic rock & roll with a dash of 90’s alternative. Vocalist and guitar Jake Hertzog and bassist Mitchell Kaneff are united by their passion for rock music. The band is inspired by everything from Cream to Train, from The Jimi Hendrix Experience to Nirvana and those are just a few of the influences you’ll hear on the band’s debut album, Freedom of Speech. TYP uses a back-to-basics approach blended with a modern sound that returns to the great “power trio” of rock: guitar, bass and drums.

Mitch Kaneff
From budding rock star to CEO of Arkay Packaging, from the author of a book on family business to an album producer and dedicated bass player, Mitch has followed a trajectory in life that always brings him back to music. After studying bass in Berklee’s summer program, Mitch put in decades of performing on the east coast in various venues. One of his proudest accomplishments was raising $100,000 for the Wounded Warrior project when he participated in Giving Tree and he’s also enjoyed a songwriting partnership in TYP. In 1997 Mitch wrote, produced, played bass on and designed the graphics for Renaissance Man. Freedom of Speech brings Mitch back to his roots. Check out his website at www.mitchellkaneff.com
